Why “Market not Found: Search Web for Installation Recipe” Error Displaying?

Market not found on bluestacks
Before gonna to say about the solution, we would like to tell why this error message occurs. You will see this error message if you are installing and using the latest version of Bluestacks which doesn’t contains inbuilt play Store app inside. Almost all of the latest bluestacks doesn’t contains play Store as its app searching application.
You use default BlueStacks search button for searching an application. While searching an app or game, Play Store button appears below it. Then You probably press Play Store button and results in “Market not Found” issue. The reason is you haven’t installed play store on your BlueStacks yet.

Solution for BlueStacks Market not Found Error Message

You can solve this issue by following below solutions. there are mainly 2 ways to resolve this issue. Among this the first solution is temporary and the second solution is permanent. We recommend the second solution to be done by you.

Method 1: Downloading the .apk file

In this method, you need to search for the desired application from you PC through a browser and need to install the .apk file in your Bluestacks. Let’s illustrate this method by an example. Consider you want to download Whatsapp in your Computer. Anyway for installing, Bluestacks is necessary. While you search the term “Whatsapp” inside bluestacks search button, you will get the above erro message. So go to your browser Chrome, Mozilla, IE whatever you have and search for the .apk file of Whatsapp. Download it in your computer and double click it. You can see that bluestacks start installing it. Now after installation, open bluestacks and you will see Whatsapp gets installed inside bluestacks. Similarly for any other apps, download the .apk file and install it via the tool.

Method 2: By installing Google Play store in Bluestacks

As I told, the exact and perfect way of resolving Market not Found issue is by installing Google play Store in your blueStacks. By default, latest version of bluestacks is releasing with other external search apps for application search. So you need to search internet for the latest version of Google Play Store.

    1. This is why you are downloading the market directly.
Download the .apk file externally and install it.
Now while opening bluestacks, you see the play store icon which is installed. Open it and download contents from Google Play Store.
If the problem persist again, try re installing the software.
      Thanks for reply.

  1. I have installed everything I need, the BlueStacks and I got the App Player, I installed Play Store and there is no icon of it anywhere. Still doesn’t work, it again says “Market Not Found”.

    1. If you have successfully installed playstore, just go through the search button provided by bluestacks for searching apps. While typing the app name, there will be automatically an option generate below called “Search Play For application”. [https://goo.gl/366Nvd] Just click through the link and you will be able to find the desired application in playstore. Thanks for contacting.

  2. Could you please explain the exact way to install the play store.apk file in PC? I downloaded it (Play Store 5111.apk) and when I doubled click on it, the box showed “Installing APK” and it disappeared. It seems that the bluestacks is still has the problem “market not found” too. I have read the previous comment but I don’t quite get it just yet. I would be grateful if you would kindly explain the process.
    Thank you in advance.

    1. You are correct. After installation, it will disappear. Now go to the app searching box and search for an application. For example search “kmplayer”. Now the search box will list return “No Result”.
Now just behind that message, you could see an option “Search play for kmplayer”. Just choose that. Now you get redirected to Google Play Store.
      Check the below Screenshot

  3. i solve my own problem… when your’e in bluestacks .. go to browser then search google play.. (in bluestacks browser) then download it.. once complete there’s appearing message.. (optimizing apps) just wait all the process then sync ur gooogle account then wait an there you goes.. 🙂 sorry for bad english because im fil.. i hope it HELPSS

    1. But actually how to install Google play store
I installed googly play store but when I opened it, it disappeared

      1. I know some people telling the same issue. Sorry that I don’t know why this happening. Anyway thanks for your comment. One suggestion is that check whether you have latest version of bluestacks.

  4. Installed Playstore(apk) successfully. There is the playstore icon in bluestacks but when i click on it it opens and then closes. Tried reinstalling the the apk but no results. By the way there is no Google Play Services in the recent bluestacks(kitkat), I think this can be reson for the PlaStore crashes.
