Accessory company Alogic recently introduced new input devices designed with Mac support as part of its Echelon series. I’ve tested the USB-C Rechargeable Wireless Keyboard for macOS and the USB-C Rechargeable Wireless Mouse, and here are my thoughts.
Echelon USB-C Rechargeable Wireless Keyboard for macOS
Alogic’s Echelon keyboard, priced at $59.99, offers a full-size 109-key layout, including a function row and number pad. This membrane-style keyboard with chiclet keys is reminiscent of Apple’s Magic Keyboard but lacks an integrated Touch ID key. The keys are well-spaced for smooth typing, and I’ve experienced no issues with missing keystrokes or double letters.

- Layout and Functionality: Optimized for Mac with specific keys for Command and other Mac-specific functions like display brightness, Spotlight, Mission Control, and media playback.
- Extended Layout: Includes a number pad and additional keys for device switching and common shortcuts like cut, copy, and paste.
- Charging and Battery Life: Charges via USB-C and includes a white braided USB-C to USB-C cable. The battery lasts for weeks, with charge intervals likely around a couple of months.
- Bluetooth Connectivity: Supports Bluetooth 3.0 and 5.0, allowing connections to up to three devices. Easily switches between devices with a key combo.
- Sleep Mode: The keyboard goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity, which can be a minor inconvenience but helps conserve battery life.
Echelon USB-C Rechargeable Wireless Mouse
The Echelon mouse, priced at $24.99, complements the Echelon keyboard with its matching matte white plastic design. It is an ambidextrous mouse with standard left and right buttons and a scroll wheel that also acts as a middle button.

- Design and Functionality: Lightweight and suitable for both left and right-hand use. The scroll wheel has defined clicks, but lacks the inertial free-spinning capability found in more advanced mice.
- Charging and Battery Life: Charges via USB-C and can be used while charging. A full charge takes about an hour and lasts two to three weeks.
- Connectivity: Supports Bluetooth 3.0 and 5.0, as well as a 2.4GHz connection via a USB-A dongle stored in the mouse. Can pair with up to three devices simultaneously.
- Sleep Mode: Like the keyboard, the mouse goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity, requiring a click to wake up.
Final Thoughts
Both the Echelon keyboard and mouse offer excellent value for their price points, especially with the current discounts. They provide solid performance, decent build quality, and essential features that cater well to Mac users on a budget.
